Good clear arguments are always appreciated. If you go fast, you will probably lose me. The topic is interesting. Good direct clash on the case is appreciated, clear definitions of terms, and explaining what your plan/advocacy actually does will be important in winning the debate. If you cannot explain to me what I am voting for, I likely will not be able to vote for that policy proposal. If you like a lot of theory arguments, you may lose me. Be selective and clear on what your voters are. I do not generally favor a :shotgun style" approach. When you find one or two winning arguments explain why they are winners and persuade me that these arguments alone should be my only focus. Ask me to vote for you. Debaters sometimes forget to explain what side they are on, and why they should win. Please don't do that if you are trying to win the ballot.
