In my experience as a competitor and as a judge, I have never been a fan of spreading. It makes it difficult to flow and understand as a judge, making it a method I look down upon. Arguments should be cohesive regardless of style. Insults to the opposition are not an option. I take notes on structure - claims, evidence, and impact should be easy to follow. I am only meant to score you, not be in anyway intimidating. Feel free to ask any questions and make the room as accommodating as it can be.
