General information This information is from a tournament in a past season! This is a High School tournament in Wisconsin. View manager contact information Announcing the WI Open Virtual Speech Festival! Post-festival survey (coaches, please complete after results are posted. The COVID-19 pandemic has created significant public health risks, addressed by such extraordinary measures as Govenor Tony Evers' Safer at Home order and indefinite cancellation of in-person schooling for the remainder of the school year. Yet, the WHSFA appreciates the positive impact forensic Speech activities have on young people, for giving them a voice to explore important issues in our society and in their lives. With the cancellation of the spring Speech season, the WHSFA wanted to find a meaningful way for young people to find some degree of normalcy, and have at least one more opportunity to share their presentation, get educational feedback, and grow from that experience. Therefore, the WHSFA invites all Wisconsin high school students (grades 9-12), regardless of their school's association membership, to participate in this online contest. For students at schools that just participate in the WHSFA, this will offer closure; for students who may participate in organizations that may still have other contests, this festival allows and opportunity for practice and meaningful feedback.
