SpeechWire Tournament Services - Forensics Tournament Software

On Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, Kenston will offer all OSDA middle school events in person in Bainbridge Township, Ohio (which is next to Solon and Chagrin Falls). The purpose for holding this tournament is to avoid a several week gap in tournaments for middle schoolers before Middle School States. We will be at Kenston Middle School for this tournament (not the high school). We offer unlimited entries.

The tournament will hold four rounds of all six OSDA middle school events as well as Extemporaneous Speaking. Registration will be held from 7:45-8:15am. Extemp debate prep and Extemp speaking prep will begin at 8:30am. Cut-off for drops is Thursday, Feb. 24 at 9pm. You are responsible for paying the entry fee for any drops after this deadline. Please make checks payable to Kenston Board of Education. $5 per student for each event in which they are entered.

Congress results will be based on judge's preference. Legislation is the OSDA Middle School Jan/Feb legislation. The Public Forum Topic will be the OSDA Middle School Jan/Feb topic.

Judge requirements: One judge for every 1-5 speech, 1-5 congress and 1-2 for each type of debate. Experienced high school students are permitted to judge. A limited number of judges are available for hire. Please enter email addresses for your judges and ask them to bring an electronic device because we will be using electronic ballots.

A variety of lunch options will be offered. Please bring small bills. Please do not bring your own food because this tournament is our major fundraiser.
