We are very pleased to invite you and your team to the Butler University tournament, The William H. Neher Bulldog Battle, on Friday and Saturday, January 17-18, 2025. The Battle will feature synchronous virtual competition in Individual Events, IPDA, NPDA, and Public Forum. Registration, balloting, and tabulation will utilize Speechwire.

 

On Friday, January 17, the tournament will feature four preliminary rounds and appropriate out-rounds of synchronous competition in NPDA and Public Forum using Zoom. On Saturday, January 18, the tournament will utilize Yaatly to offer synchronous competition in all 11 AFA events and Broadcasting in addition to four preliminary rounds and appropriate out-rounds of IPDA. IPDA competition will begin at 8:00AM Eastern Time and extemp/broadcasting prep will begin at 8:30AM, a reasonable time for multiple time zones!

 

On Saturday, competitors may compete in both IPDA and flight B IEs. Competitors may not compete in both extemp and broadcasting. This means your students could compete in IPDA, IE Flight B, and either NPDA or Public forum!

 

Please note the entry deadline of 5:00 p.m. EST, Tuesday, January 14, 2025. We anticipate an educational, challenging, and very entertaining tournament and hope that you will join us.
