Logistics:

The 2024 BEST Foundation State Tournament will utilize speechwire.com for its tournament software. Any questions regarding technical support should be directed to speechwire at support@speechwire.com.

ALL ADULTS who plan to attend the tournament must take the required parent training.  Information can be accessed here: PARENT TRAINING.  Upon completion of the training parents and adults will be given a ribbon to wear, that ribbon must be worn throughout the duration of the tournament.  Staff at the tournament reserve the right to ask adults NOT wearing a ribbon to check in at the information center for completion of training. 

Tournament Schedule 

All Asynchronous videos are due and MUST be uploaded to speechwire.com no later than: April 9th, 2025 by 9:00 p.m. (PST)

There will be no grace period for any videos submitted after the deadline.  

It is the responsibility of each individual coach to ensure that all videos are operating properly and they are accessible.  The tournament staff will make every reasonable effort to try and replace a video that is not functioning but it is the responsibility of each school site to make sure that videos are all operating correctly and video/sound are accessible. The tournament staff cannot guarantee a replacement video will be accepted if a video is not accessible, does not have sound, will not open, or is a faulty link.

The Tab Director reserves the right to remove students from the tournament due to technical issues that cannot be resolved with video uploads

Release of all elimination (semifinalists) will be on April 18th, 2025 no later than 8:00 p.m. (PST)
