Turkey Day is coming Coaches–

Conant High School is excited to host the JV/Novice Tournament portion of the District 211 Turkey Tournament on November 23rd. The Varsity Tournament will be held down the road at Hoffman Estates High School.

Here is our basic information:

-Competitors will compete in 3 rounds with no finals round. Extempers will prep once before Round I and use this speech for all 3 rounds. Radio speakers will prep at home and deliver their speech for all 3 rounds.

-The entry fee will cover 28 entries for each team, two per event. If you need more than 28 entries, please email me. I will add extras as space allows.

-Checks can be made payable to Conant High School. Please bring the check with you to the tournament and we will take them as you check in outside the cafeteria starting at 7am. Fees are $175 for up to 28 entries and $225 for 29 or more.

-We are asking that you bring one judge for every 6 entries.

-The tournament will be running live and with digital ballots to save us all time and headache. Competitors can subscribe to get updates, and we will also post schematics in the cafeteria area.

8:00 Extemp Prep / Coaches meeting

8:30 Round I: All events

10:00 Round II: All events

11:30 Round III: All events

1:30 Awards

Extras: as usual, if you would like good extemp questions, please upload some extemp questions in Speechwire. Otherwise, competitors will work through whatever I can come up with.
