Hello Coaches!

 

Welcome back to the JV/Novice Comfy Classic. Since our tournament is running late this year, we are adding a final round to give our competitors some practice with the process as they move on to IHSA competition. We will run 2 prelim rounds. To make sure that we still get feedback from 3 judges, one of these rounds will be double judged. We will use these 3 ranks to create the competitors in the final round. JV and novice competitors are eligible to compete in the final round. We will have awards for final winners and novice winners. 

 

Here is our basic information:

 

   -Competitors will compete in 2 rounds to qualify for 1 final round. Extempers will prep before each round. Radio speakers will have one on-site prep and deliver that broadcast for each round. Extemp and Radio finalists will prep before finals.

 

   -We will be using e-ballots to help us move faster.

 

   -Because we are double judging rounds, we will need more judges. Our requirement for this tournament is 1 judge for every 4 entries. Please round up as you decide how many judges you need.

 

 

Also, our photo booth will be up and ready to make some lasting memories. Most of all, don't forget your comfy sweaters and jeans!

 

 

   -Checks can be made payable to Conant High School. Please bring the check with you to the tournament and we will take them as you check in outside the cafeteria starting at 7am. Fees are $175 for up to 1-14 entries, $225 for 15-28 entries, and $275 for more than 28.
