Kaukauna Forensics Tournament
General information This is a High School tournament in Wisconsin. View manager contact information Dear Forensics Coach, Kaukauna High School is pleased to invite your team to the the Kaukauna Forensics tournament on March 1st, 2025. Since we want the tournament to run as smoothly and as successfully as possible, we will limit the size of the tournament to fit the space we have available at the high school. We know several of you run tournaments in multiple buildings, but we would prefer to have all our problems in one place. As a result, please be sure to register by the deadline so we can stay on top of the situation and keep it from getting bigger than we can handle. If you have questions, the best way to contact Alex is by email juneaua@kaukaunasd.org you can also call him at school (920)766-6113 x5926 or on his cell (920) 570-2408. All the necessary information is listed below. We hope you can come to the event. We look forward to making this a successful tournament. DATE: Saturday, March 1st, 2025 DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: Thursday, February 28th, 2025. Please register by using speechwire.com. If you are uncomfortable or unfamiliar with the program, email Alex. ENTRIES: You may have as many entries as you wish. Varsity teams will be noted at registration. Triple entries will be accepted. However, students in Extemp. or Radio announcing may NOT enter in both. If you have a student/students double entered, they will count as two entries. Count the entries, not the students. After the deadline, entries will only be added if there is space available. FEES: Entry fees are $10 per individual event and $15 per each duo interp, group interp, and play acting entry. You will be responsible for all entry fees unless you drop or cancel at least 48 hours before the tournament begins. PLEASE MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO: KAUKAUNA HIGH SCHOOL FORENSICS.
CONFIRMATION: Speechwire will allow you to update and track your registration throughout the week. You are asked to text Alex on Saturday morning when you leave to confirm your entry and update us on any late adds/drops. This will give us time to adjust the schedule and get the first round started on time. PLEASE TEXT ALEX’S CELL 920-570-2408 any time after 5:30am. If you do not get a reply within 10 minutes, please try again. We will confirm all text messages that we receive. Please text even if you have no changes. We cannot run a schedule until we hear from all schools

JUDGES: You need to have one judge per five entries, or fraction thereof. I have a very limited supply of judges available for hire at $150 per judge so please make every effort to bring enough judges with you. Whether you have drops or not, you will be expected to bring the number of judges that you indicate on your original registration form.
SCHEDULE: Registration 7:30 – 8:15am Draw for radio and extemp. 8:15am Round 1 for all events 8:45am Round 2 10:00am Round 3 11:15am Power rounds 1:00pm Awards 3:00pm
AWARDS: Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 small schools (5-14 entries) and the top 3 medium schools (15-24 entries) based on qualitative results of actual students competing. The top 4 schools in the large school category (25+ entries) will win a trophy based on sweepstakes points. Individual trophies will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each category. All other finalists will receive medals.
RULES: WFCA rules will be followed. There will not be a judge’s meeting because this tournament is late enough in the season that, hopefully, everyone understands the rules. Please make sure that your judges are up to speed and comfortable operating this way. In the files for download section you will find the rules for Oratorical Declamation, Musical Interpretation, and Duo Improvisation
FOOD: A concession stand will be open from 7:30am until after lunch. It will have snacks and more substantial food. We ask that all contestants eat at the school so power rounds are not delayed.
