Laker Legends Junior Achievers

Tuesday, February 25th

 

Dear Speech Coaches,

The Minnewaska Area speech team would like to invite you to a Junior High invitational on Tuesday, February 25th at Minnewaska Area High School. This competition is for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade team members, in all 13 categories. Awards will be three team trophies, medals for 1-3rd and ribbons for 4th-6th place.

 

Cost will be $4.00 per entry with double entries allowed (no triple entries). Please make your checks out to Minnewaska Area Schools. Please provide one judge per every six entries. Senior high speech team members are welcome to judge.

 

Speakers in draw categories, please come prepared for both rounds.

 

Schedule:

3:30 P.M. Registration by high school office

3:45 P.M. Judges meeting

4:00 P.M. Round I - All categories except Discussion

4:15 P.M. Round I - Discussion

5:15 P.M  Round II - All categories except Discussion

5:30 P.M. Round II - Discussion

6:45 P.M. Awards in the Auditorium

 

Registration deadline will be Monday, February 24th at noon. Please send your registrations via speechwire.com and direct any questions to swelsch@isd2149.org. Please text Simi Welsch at 763-222-7977 on your way to the meet and that your entries and judges are finalized.

 

Food will be available for the students to purchase at the concessions stand, and there will be snacks provided for judges and coaches in the judges’ room.

The Minnewaska speech team looks forward to seeing all of you on February 25th.
