URGENT!!

Dear current and potential SFCFL member coaches,

Due to unforeseen circumstances, there will NOT be an October 26, 2024 tournament that was originally scheduled for West Broward High School. It is canceled. Please make sure that your students know that it is NOT going to take place.

If you already sent in your tournament registration check, Mary Schick will return it to you.

The SFCFL #1 tournament will be held on November 16, 2024. 

The SFCFL #2 tournament will be held on December 14, 2024. 

The SFCFL #3 tournament will be held on January 18, 2025.

The SFCFL #4 tournament will be held on February 1, 2025. 

Also an email will go out October 15 with a REVISED copy of the SFCFL Membership drive application for schools that would like to enter a middle school team. We received several requests for middle school membership. We have added this to the application. If you have already submitted your application, and would like to add a middle school, please send this request and check to Mary Schick. Please note, middle schools are not allowed to compete at the NCFL national tournament.

The SFCFL committee would like to invite you to consider hosting one of the above tournaments at your school! Tournaments can be great fundraisers for schools, so I do hope you consider hosting. In order to host a SFCFL tournament, you should have between 75-100 rooms that could be used for competition, tab, judge lounge, and extemp prep. You should have 25+ student volunteers to help with the tournament, and 20+ parents to put together food and the judge lounge. The committee will set up the tournament on Speechwire, tabulate the tournament, and help run the tournament.
