Dear Forensics Coaches,

The Oshkosh West coaches and forensics team invite you to join us for the Tom Lynch Legacy Tournament on Saturday, February 8, 2025 held at Oshkosh West High School.

Preliminary and final rounds for all events will be held at Oshkosh West High School 375 N. Eagle St., Oshkosh, WI 54902.

ENTRIES/CATEGORIES:
Your top 25 varsity entries will count toward your team score with a maximum of 4 entries per category. As always, additional entries are welcome. Students are allowed to DOUBLE or TRIPLE enter; however, students may NOT double/triple enter in BOTH Extemp. AND Radio due to logistics. Students who are double and triple entered will be eligible to receive the coveted Rhododendron or Triple Crown Awards, which honor students who earn the most cumulative points based on preliminary rounds in two or three categories, respectively. In the event of a tie, final round places will determine the champions.

RULES:
WFCA and NCFL rules will be followed for applicable categories along with allowances for WHSFA cross-over events. Please go over any rule changes with your students and judges prior to attending the tournament. Updated rules are available on the WFCA website at www.wfcaforensics.org. We will also be offering Oratorical Declamation again this year for those students participating in the GBCFL/NCFL tournaments.

JUDGES:
Each school must bring one qualified judge for every five entries or fraction thereof.  We will have a VERY limited number of judges available for hire at $150 per judge. You are responsible for the number of judges that you indicate on your Speechwire registration, plus any adds as of Friday morning. Judges MUST bring technology needed to conduct e-balloting for all rounds and must have a valid email account in Speechwire. Any need for paper critiques should be communicated ahead of time so that we can prepare needed materials.

DEADLINES:
Please register via SpeechWire by 5:00pm on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Teams can and should manage their own adds/drops on SpeechWire until 3:00 pm on Friday, February 7th (entries dropped after that time should be texted to Michelle Huettl at 262-210-8333 and will still be charged). Please text any other last minute drops by 7:15 am on tournament day to Michelle Huettl at 262-210-8333.

NOTES:
Confirmations will be sent out by e-mail the week of the tournament. There will be detailed instructions including numbers to call/text on Saturday morning.  To start the tournament smoothly, each school must call/text confirming registration by 7:15 the morning of the tournament even if there are NO changes (i.e. Oshkosh West drop Prose K4; Oshkosh North-No Changes).

FEES:
Entry fees are $10.00 per individual entry and $15.00 for each group entry (Play Acting, Duo Interp, or Group Interp). Fees will be based on your entries as of 3:00 pm on Friday February 7, 2025.  There will be no adds the day of the meet unless space allows.  Please make checks for fees payable to Oshkosh West High School 375 N. Eagle St. Oshkosh, WI 54902.
