NDA Tourducken
General information This is a High School tournament in Ohio. View manager contact information
Greetings and Salutations!
Your team is invited to compete at the NDA Tourducken on November 16, 2024, in person. (Get it? Turducken? Tournament? Thanksgiving? Ha…)
There will be four preliminary rounds of individual events, four rounds of Lincoln Douglas and Public Forum Debate, and three rounds of Congressional Debate. Double entries are permitted with prior approval.
Middle School events will be offered at this tournament, and the same number of rounds applies to them as what is written above, i.e. four preliminary rounds of individual events (MS-IN, MS-OO, MS-DE, MS-EX), four rounds of debate (MS-PF, MS-ED), and three rounds of Congressional Debate (MS-CD).
Policy will not be offered at this tournament.
We ask that you please designate each competitor as "novice" or "varsity." The definition of "novice" is a competitor in their first season of Speech and Debate. This does NOT include competitors who are just new to their category. A novice is a competitor who is completely knew to Speech and Debate land.
LD and PF topics will be the November topics listed on the OSDA website. The Congressional Debate topics for both Middle School and High School can also be found on the OSDA website.
Judges: We ask that each team provide 1 judge for every two debaters and 1 judge for every 5 IE contestants. There is a missing judge fee if entries are not covered.
Registration deadline: Thursday, November 14 at 12am...so get those wonderful entries and judges in on Wednesday!
Delicious food will be provided to judges, and concessions will be open for competitors.
The base cost for each team is $12. The cost is $6 for single competitors, and $12 for team entries. Please make checks payable to Notre Dame Academy, and write “Speech and Debate” on the memo line. The address is below.
