Lincoln Northeast Space Race

We are excited to extend this invitation to attend the 2025 Lincoln Northeast Space Race Speech Tournament.
The competition will be held on Friday, January 31.
(We are pleased to announce that we are once again a NIETOC bid tournament. We hope you and your team have the opportunity to attend!)
GENERAL INFO:
The tournament will be held in-person. Round/judge assignments will be handled electronically, and also outside the auditorium and in the judge’s lounge. Ballots will also be electronic.
The entry deadline for all events will be Wednesday, January 29th at 6 PM. Drops and adds will be accepted through Tournament start.
We will accept up to triple-entries for any student, although students will be responsible for ensuring they make it to all their events in each round.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three highest performing triathlon competitors.
We will not include speaker points on ballots, and will follow the NSDA’s overtime guidelines (over time cannot be first).
Champs / Honors / Merit / Consi finals and NIETOC bid levels will be determined by entry numbers.

HI / HP, DI / SP, Duo/ Duet, PER / OO, INF, POI, ENT, EXT, OID, IMP, POE
EVENT RULES/NOTES:
- EXT will run a 30 min prep. Internet access is acceptable in accordance with NSDA guidelines.
- INF will run a 10 minute time limit. We ask no penalties for students running 8 minute scripts.
- Duet and Duo will run together with a 12 min time limit.

ASAP Awards
ON ARRIVAL:
Please do your best to arrive no earlier than 2:15 as we will be in class until 2:05. Buses may drop students off at the commons doors (door 35) where they will be required to stay until the school is cleared. Parking will be extremely tight due to several things happening in the building that day, and a place to park will be announced soon. Students may congregate in the commons, and we will move to the auditorium for awards.
