Hello Speech Community!
You are cordially invited to the first annual White Bear Lake Area Bear Claw Speech Invitational! We're excited to show you our brand new facilities, and for a great day of Speech. We will run all 13 MSHSL events as well as POI, and are currently splitting Extemp Speaking in US and International.
Because this is our first ever tournament, we will be cutting off team registration on 2/28/25 to allow for planning. Please input your approximate entries ASAP.
Information regarding Ex Reading, Storytelling, and Discussion:
-Ex Reading: We will be using ALL selections between Prose and Poetry.
-Storytelling: We will be using ALL stories.
-Discussion: Tasks will come from the Section area of the Outline.
There will be a judges meeting 8:30AM, with Round 1 of Discussion beginning at 8:45AM, and all other rounds beginning at 9AM.
Students may double or triple enter if they choose. Students in Discussion may not double enter in draw categories.
We are pleased to announce that this tournament has been granted NIETOC bid status! More information about specifics will be updated closer to the tournament.
Registration and Fees
The cost is $7 per entry.
Our registration deadline to change entries is Wednesday March 19th, at 5PM. Team Registration ends on 2/28/25.
We will be site-scheduling, so please let us know by 7:45 AM on tournament day if there are any changes.
