Moeller High School Speech and Debate is pleased to invite you to the Moeller New Years Resolution Tournament: A competition where you can reinvigorate your 2025 forensics resolutions!

We recommend that you register as early as possible due to space limitations.

Registration will start at 8-8:30 in the Moeller High School office. Please let me know if you have any questions concerns about registration by emailing me at Eeble@moeller.org.

ENTRY DEADLINE: Registration must be received no later than Thursday, January 23rd at 7pm. Please register as soon as possible. We have only a limited number of rooms and once they are filled registration will close regardless of the date.

FEES: Fees will be $5 per competitor with a base team entry fee of $10

FOOD: We will have food for sale from LaRosas (pizza, sandwiches, salads, with vegetarian options included) in our student commons. We will have additional food for sale in the morning, too.

NUMBER OF ROUNDS: We'll offer five rounds of LD / PF, four rounds of IE, and three sessions of Congress.

TOPICS: We'll use the national topics for LD and PF for January / February

CONGRESS: For the prelims, we will use the following bills from the OSDA January / February docket: 1.) J25-19 Free Press; 2.) J25-21: E-Waste; 3.) J25-22: Plea Bargaining; 4.) J25-24: Organ Donors. For finals, we will be using the following two bills:

A Bill to Promote and Fund Canada Geese Population Control
A Bill to Implement a Carbon Tax

ADDRESS: Moeller is located at 9001 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242. Buses can drop off student by the Crusader statue in the front of the building, then park in the front along Montgomery Road.
