Lodi Forensics Tournament

The Lodi High School Forensics Team extends a warm and hearty invitation to your team to attend our tournament on Saturday, February 15, 2025
ENTRIES:
Teams are capped at six (6) entries per event, 30 entries total. Your top 25 entries will count toward team scores with a maximum of four (4) entries per event. Students are allowed to enter one or two events, but not both Extemp and Radio. The same material may not be used in separate events.
REGISTRATION:
We will begin at 7:30 AM in the Lodi High School Office. All participating schools are expected to register no later than 8:15 AM. Please make sure you have an updated cell phone number in SpeechWire, so tournament personnel can contact you in case a member of your team fails to check in by 8:15AM.
RULES:
WISDAA rules and CATEGORIES (please see, www.wisdaa.org) will be used with allowances for WFCA rule variations. Public Address WILL NOT be offered.
All students will participate in Three (3) Rounds. There will be a Final Round.
Students will be scored using Ranks.
STUDENT NAMES:
Coaches, please confirm phonetic pronunciations for your student’s names in SpeechWire. This can be done in the team roster tab. We want to do our best to pronounce names as accurately as possible at the awards ceremony.
ELECTRONIC BALLOTING:
Please make sure to remind your judges that they will need a device (laptop, Chromebook, iPad) to access their ballots and critiques. We will be using electronic balloting.

AWARDS: Trophies will be presented to the top three competitors and medals to the remaining finalists. Your top 25 competitors with a maximum of four (4) in any one category will count for team awards. Team trophies will be awarded to schools in two (2) divisions: Large Team (based on total points) and Small Team (based on team average). Divisions will be determined based on actual entries competing. A minimum of five (5) entries will be needed to compete for team awards.
FEES: A fee of $10.00 for each individual entry and $15.00 for Play Acting & Group Interpretation based on your registration as of 4:00PM on Friday, February 14, 2025.
DEADLINES:
-Please RSVP via Speechwire.com by 5:00PM Friday, February 1, 2025
-Please register via Speechwire.com by 5:00PM Friday, February 8, 2025
-Teams can and should manage their own drops on Speechwire.com until 4:00 PM, Friday, February 14th, after that point, please email drops to lembcan@lodischoolswi.org.
-Entries dropped after that time will still be charged.
-Day of tournament drops are strongly discouraged. On the day of the tournament, you must please TEXT by 7:15AM to confirm ALL your entries, EVEN IF YOU HAVE NO DROPS. This will ensure that we get started on time. Please text Anne Lembcke at 608-712-2923.
JUDGES: Each school must provide one (1) judge for every five (5) entries or portion of five (5) entries. Each group or play is considered one (1) entry. Please bring your own judges. If you are having problems filling a judging assignment, Lodi may be able to hire one for you at $150 per judge.
FOOD: Lunch and an assortment of snack items will be available for purchase throughout the day for students from the Concession Stand hosted by the Lodi Athletic Boosters. Continental breakfast and drinks will be provided for coaches, judges, and bus drivers in the morning with a lunch provided by the Lodi Athletic Booster Club.
AWARDS CEREMONY: We will gather as a large group in the auditorium for awards.
