Events available: 

All ISSDA Speech events. 

Varsity Division. 

Registration:

Entries are due in Speechwire by Friday, January 31st. Late entries by Sunday, February 2nd.

 Drops may be made via Speechwire until midnight on Friday, February 7th.

After that time, please text 574-323-5263 or email Heidi at hmarek@cps.k12.in.us.    

Doubling: Students may double according to the restrictions below. No tripling allowed.   

Broadcasting may double in all events except Impromptu, and the 2 Extemps.

Discussion contestants may not double.

Duo partners may double in OP Duo as the same partners.

Extemp contestants may not double in the other Extemp event. Extempers may double only in Impromptu, Informative Speaking, and Original Oratory.

Impromptu contestants may double in all events except Discussion and Broadcasting.

Judges:

Please bring one judge for every 5 speakers or fraction thereof (3 Duo teams=2 judges).

We are using E-Balloting. Please bring a device.    

​Coaches - please confirm judges have speechwire accounts.

Schedule:    In the event of inclement weather, we will delay the tournament by one hour.  

Final Registration is from  7:45 - 8:15AM 

8:30AM -  Extemp Prep #1

9:00 AM - Round 1 - All events

9:30 - Start Extemp Prep #2

10:15 AM - Round 2  - All events

10:45 - Start Extemp Prep #3

11:00 Radio Prep for Round 3

11:15 AM - Round 3 - All events

12:15 - 1:00PM - Lunch

12:30 - Extemp Prep for Final Round

1:00PM - Final Round - All events

3:00PM - Awards (anticipated) 

Concessions/Food:

Concessions are available for students in the cafeteria. Lunch is provided for judges, coaches and bus drivers in the judges lounge. 

Radio:

Round 1 & 2 - 5 minute newscast  

Round 3 - Breaking News 

Round 4 - Newscast + Editorial

Information for Radio will be posted by January 27th in the Files for Download tab. 

Extemp:  

Extemp will prep every round.
