Carthage 8 Round Novice Debate Tournament
General information This information is from a tournament in a past season! This is a High School tournament in Missouri. View manager contact information Dear Coach and Squad, Carthage Speech and Debate would like to invite you and your novice debate students to compete at the 1st CHS Fall Novice Debate Tournament on October 25th & 26th. There will be eight rounds of debate to help give your students experience for the rest of the season. Registration will occur on Speechwire.com. Please make sure that you enter in all names for your competitors. If you need help with operating Speechwire, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We will offer the following events: Policy debate (please note the novice specific rules pertaining to this event): Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially reduce Direct Commercial Sales and/or Foreign Military Sales of arms from the United States. Lincoln-Douglas debate: Resolved: In the United States, colleges and universities ought not consider standardized tests in undergraduate admissions decisions. Public Forum debate: Resolved: The European Union should join the Belt and Road Initiative. Extras will be given according to room availability and in the order received. Additionally, each school must provide one judge for every two teams entered in policy and one judge for every four entries in Lincoln-Douglas and public forum. Please request only as many entries as you can provide judges. Judge Notes:
