We invite you to attend the Fourth annual East Liverpool Speech and Debate tournament.
We will tentatively (entries permitting) offer the following competition:
Speech Events: 3 Rounds, (OSDA Speech Events Only)
LD / PF Debate: 4 Rounds.
Congressional Debate: Preliminary Competition and Finals
We will not be offering Policy Debate, Big Questions Debate, or Middle School competition at this tournament.
Fees:
$3.50 per student ($7.00 for PF and Duo)
Registration Deadline is Monday, October 28th at 8pm
Drop fee will be in effect after this time.
Make checks payable to East Liverpool City Schools c/o Debate Team
Judges:
Deadline- Friday, November 1st at 4pm.
$30 missing Judge fee will be enforced.
1 judge for every 5 I.E. competitors
1 Judge for every 6 Congress entries
2 Judges if over 6 Congress entries.
1 judge per 2 L/D Debaters
1 judge per 2 PF Teams
In I.E., a judge who just graduated from high school last year may NOT judge the event in which he/she competed.
In I.E. and Congress, a parent or other close family relative should NOT judge the event in which the current competitor competes.
Extemp:
Prep room is the Library/Student center on the 3rd floor. Outlets available are very limitied and on a first come, first serve basis. WiFi will be available, but is password protected. Password will be provided in the Extemp room on the day of event.
