Dear Speech Colleagues,

The Forest Grove High School Speech and Debate Team is pleased to invite you to its invitational tournament on Saturday, November 23, 2019. The tournament will only feature individual events, no debate.

We plan to offer all 12 Individual Events in Open and Novice, and Open LIELL. Students may triple-enter in IE patterns; students in Duo or Extemp may only double-enter. 

Novice divisions will be allowed exceptions in the case of notes and memorization and judges may use discretion for notes and memorization in Open divisions. Novice divisions may collapse to open if there is insufficient numbers, but it will not automatically collapse to increase Open numbers to ensure alt-qual.

Please submit your initial entry by Tuesday, November 19 at 5pm on Speechwire. Any changes or drops must be made by Thursday, November 21 at 8pm; I will assess fees at that time. Please email if you have any drops after this time. Substitutions are accepted if in the same division/event. Please call or text me any changes on the bus; don’t wait until you arrive at registration!

Because we want this tournament to run smoothly, we will be sectioning rounds on Friday. Hence, it is imperative that we have information on drops, changes, or substitutions as soon as possible!
